I am a 16 year old who has taken drivers ed, a drivers safety course, and I qualify for the good student insurance discount. I am looking at purchasing a 1974 Porsche 914 does anyone know what the cost to insure thise for me would be?

I am eligible for my junior driver’s license in a little over a month. I have gotten well over the amount of miles/hours driving experience, and am very comfortable driving a car. However, I still need to take some kind of Driver’s Ed in order to get a discount on my insurance.
I have looked at a $99 couse at www.driversed.com and like the offer. However, it also suggests getting in-car training from a proffesional driving instructor.
What will happen with my insurance if I do/don’t get in-car training? I really would love to get my license ASAP, because it would be more convenient for me and my parents. Can I still be taking Driver’s Ed with my Junior License already obtained?
all you need is drivers ed, nothing more. your insurance company wont even require you to show proof that you took it. i took the classes and all i did was tell the insurance co. nothing more. good luck!

16 year old male. I do get some kind of discount because I went through Driver’s ed.
At 16 your only real option is being added to your parents policy. Have them call and ask, and you will get an exact answer.
